Color messaging within bills and statements enhance the value of First-Class Mail by fostering a better connection and response from customers.
What is Transpromo Marketing?
Transpromo came from the word’s ‘transaction’ and ‘promotional’. By adding relevant messages, you can piggyback targeted promotions and advertising onto existing transaction-related documents, such as statements or bills.

The USPS Personalized Color Transpromo Promotion registration period runs from May 15 through December 31, 2020. The promotional Period itself is July 1 through December 31, 2020. During the promotion period, you are eligible for 2% off of postage on qualified mail pieces.
Just as the USPS is known for their rigorous regulations on mail specifications, they have applied the same hand to this promotion. Some ineligibility includes:
- Avoid messaging encouraging customers to go paperless or setup electronic communications for bills, statements, etc.
- Full color logos or the use of full color on the outer envelope are not enough.
- No pre-printed paper stock can be used, that include any pictures, graphics, text, formatting or watermarks.
- General account maintenance messaging such as directing customers online to contact customer service, payment status or account status are required to be much smaller and less prominent than a qualifying marketing message on the artwork.
Let’s make it simple! Keep the words ‘Personalized’ and ‘Color’ in the forefront of this promotion. The mailing must be done in color and have at least 4 customer segments targeted with unique marketing messaging for each. Set aside a piece of real estate on your document and we’ll bring in images that are relevant to that individual.
