The Badger Group welcomed Trish Witkowski, president of Rock the Mailbox and Chief Folding Fanatic at foldfactory.com, to our Fort Atkinson facility on March 9, 2015. An educator, author, speaker and award-winning designer, Witkowski specializes in solutions for direct mail and is the curator of the world’s most exciting collection of folded print and direct mail samples.
“Any marketer who works a lot with direct mail knows Trish Witkowski,” said The Badger Group Owner and President Sally O’Brien. “We frequently work with our customers on ideas they saw on Trish’s video series, ’60-second Super-cool FOLD of the WEEK.’ It’s hard not to get excited about direct mail when you listen to Trish speak.”
Witkowski’s presentation, “Rock the Mailbox: Critical Steps for Creating Mail that Performs,” educated the audience about the three phases of creating a successful direct mail campaign: strategy, format choice and analysis. She shared samples from her world-famous collection to show some of the most engaging and effective real-world direct mail ideas.
“Direct mail is the best kept secret in marketing,” said Witkowski. Many companies enjoy direct mail marketing success, which is often the result of constant testing and refinement of their strategy. But, as Witkowski noted, few are willing to share the secret of their success after the hard work that goes into it. Seminar attendees were fortunate to get a glimpse into the world of effective direct mail marketing.
“As a designer and someone fascinated by print, it was really cool to hear Trish’s ideas and research,” shared one attendee.
